Most of us can relate to reaching a point in life’s journey when we must choose between two paths. The decision may be easy or difficult, influenced by the methodology used to approach it: wade in or jump into the deep end.
Crossroads Music | Onward
When I started working with artist Dee Railleur, it wasn’t clear if we had enough in common to create art together.
We’re very different people; sometimes, that scenario works well, and occasionally, it’s a trainwreck.
That’s how I originally described an initial discussion which lead to the song Homewrecker based on her mantra |
I seek to find and show the truth no matter how hard the journey may be.
As you might suspect, Homewrecker isn’t a subtle song. But a second story is being told if you read between the lines.
Crafting a song so it tells multiple stories is a big part of the fun I have writing and recording music, which what lead us to her next song, the equally subtle My Game.
The lyrics prominently feature Dee’s ongoing autobiographical narrative, which depicts her development as a person and her relationships. I’ll leave the discovery of the other two embedded stories to you.
And yes, Dee is all about jumping into the deep end.
Check out the song and let me know your thoughts on X (Twitter) or Instagram.
